Juror Bio

Caroline Frost graduated from Texas State University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Art History. During undergrad, she curated the 2021 Alumni Show for Texas State Galleries titled States of Flux, which was also the subject of her undergraduate thesis essay. During her 5-month role as intermittent curator at Spellerberg Projects in Lockhart, TX she curated four solo shows: I’ll Tell You This for Free featuring Dana Robinson; Magic Shell featuring Hannah Lee; do i not fill heaven and earth featuring brady collings; and Lyrical Space featuring Jamie Panzer. She is a frequent contributing writer for Glasstire and has served as Assistant Director at Commerce Gallery in Lockhart, TX since April 2021.



Art Room is thrilled to present its Now | Contemporary 2023 at Arts Fort Worth. Featuring compelling work from local, regional, and national artists, this annual juried exhibition displays an exciting range of entries in a variety of mediums, including traditional and experimental drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, and three-dimensional pieces. The show runs from March 3, to April 1, 2023. The selected works represent the expansive vernacularthat is encompassed within the state of Texas by featuring components of daily life. The exhibition represents the multitude of cultures and lifestyles across the state by displaying commonplace objects and materials, domestic settings and intimate moments, diaristic compositions, and imagery from the mass media. Varied in style and mode, and ranging in subject from gritty reality to glitzy commercialism, Now | Contemporary 2023 reflects the abundance of Texas artists today.
