Twelve pairs of bronze boots historic three-quarter fire boots realistically painted are sited at the entrance of the station and compliment text in the windows of the station’s tower.
About the Artist:
Eric McGehearty has his Masters of Fine Art from UNT and has shown his art work nationally in venues such as: The John F. Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, The Museum of Fine Art at Florida State University and at the Piedmont Arts Museum in Virginia. In the field of public art McGehearty’s project in Fort Worth was recognized by the Americans for the Arts as one of the forty best projects in 2007.
