THE ARTS COUNCIL NAMES WESLEY GENTLE AS NEW ADVANCEMENT MANAGER

Fort Worth, TX, March 28, 2018– The Arts Council of Fort Worth is pleased to announce and welcome

Wesley Gentle. Gentle will join the advancement team and will be responsible for managing donor relationships on behalf of the Arts Council; and working closely with our Director of Advancement & Grant Programs, Shannon Roberts, with all aspects of fundraising goals and objectives.

Gentle comes to the Arts Council with three years of experience in Institutional Giving and Foundation Relations from the Fort Worth Opera and Fort Worth Symphony. His coveted education comes from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor of Art in Music and a Masters of Music in Opera Performance from the Boston Conservatory. He brings certifications in Nonprofit Management as well as Intermediate Grant Writing.

In addition to his extensive education, Gentle brings excellent affiliations to the table as an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Fort Worth Metro Chapter, Rotary Club Fort Worth, and Leadership ISD.

The Arts Council is a nonprofit organization that was formed in 1963 to provide funding and leadership that would stimulate and assure the advancement of the arts throughout the Fort Worth community. Today, the Arts Council serves and responds to the needs of local artists, arts organizations, and residents through the Competitive Grants Program, Fort Worth Public Art Program and management of the Fort Worth Community Art Center.
