Neighborhood Arts Program (NAP) Support

Eligibility Requirements

Must be a non-profit arts organization or college/university affiliated arts organization


NAP Support grants bring the performing, visual and interdisciplinary arts into traditionally underserved communities of Fort Worth by providing financial assistance for the cost of a single, defined program, to be completed at an appropriate NAP-designated venue (see “Venue Eligibility” below). Oftentimes, NAP are offered as in-school, after school, or summertime programs.

Venue Eligibility

To ensure NAP programs reach the underserved audience intended, proposed projects must be held within an appropriate NAP eligible venue. NAP approved sites include those where 50% or more of the resident/user population falls below the poverty line -this criteria is identified through Title 1  school designations or location within a designated CDBG Eligible Area.

NAP eligible venues include facilities such as:

  • Community centers
  • Public schools
  • Boys & Girls Clubs
  • Places of worship
  • Libraries
  • Senior centers

Award Maximum

No dollar maximum; may not exceed 50% of the submitted program budget.

Matching Requirement

1:1 cash match through any combination of earned or unearned income.
