Amon Carter Museum of American Art, Fort

This holiday season, give the gift of membership to someone you love and help us give our community access to great American art every day! When you gift membership to the Amon Carter Museum of American Art, you give behind-the-scenes access to the art, invitations to members-only events, and opportunities to connect with other art enthusiasts in our community. Plus, every membership helps support the Carter’s mission of providing the best examples of American creativity to the Fort Worth community, free of charge.

Your gift recipient will also have the chance to be the first to see the hit of the holiday season—Mythmakers: The Art of Winslow Homer and Frederic Remington! This nationally touring exhibition is making its last stop in Fort Worth. Mythmakers is the first exhibition to explore the unexpected resonances between the two blockbuster artists. Featuring the best examples of their work on loan from collections across the country, it’s the perfect activity for your out-of-town holiday guests. You won’t want to miss it!

Arts Center.jpg

The Fort Worth Community Arts Center brings you a celebration of holiday traditions, cultures, and cuisines. The Arts Center Presents Cultural Kitchen is a new video series where we will celebrate our diversity and histories as viewers will explore and learn how to prepare culturally rich dishes while listening to unique stories passed down from generation to generation.

Now more than ever, it’s important to lift everyone up by sharing our community’s unique values. In partnership with Opal’s Farm, the Arts Center will share proceeds of donations received during these programs to support its mission to tackle Tarrant County food deserts.

Nefertari Header[1].jpg

On view from December 6, 2020, through March 14, 2021, Queen Nefertari’s Egypt is a sweeping showcase of female power and influence during the height of ancient Egyptian civilization. At the heart of the exhibition is Queen Nefertari, one of the most celebrated queens of ancient Egypt and the beloved royal wife of the great pharaoh Ramesses II. Called “the one for whom the sun shines,” Nefertari and other women of ancient Egypt are brought to life through 230 objects from temples, tombs, palaces, and the artisan village of Deir el-Medina, presenting the richness of Egyptian culture some 3,000 years ago. Queen Nefertari’s Egypt will cast light on royal life in the palace, the roles of women in ancient Egypt, the everyday life of artisans and the powerful belief system and ritual practices around death and the afterlife.
