Volunteer Grant Panelist Forms (UPDATED)
2012-2014 Grants Panel Nomination Form
2012 Panelist Performance Evaluation Form
2012 Panelist Staff Presentation Evaluation Form

Grant applications submitted to the Arts Council are reviewed by volunteer Grant Panels in accordance with the published criteria for each category.

Upon receipt, Arts Council staff reviews grant applications and reports for completeness. Missed deadlines affect applicant eligibility.

Grant Panels are composed of ten to twenty community volunteers, including arts, business professionals and community leaders. Panelists conduct performance evaluations, attend scheduled staff presentations throughout the year, and submit written reports to the Arts Council for review during panel deliberations.

During panel deliberations, narratives, financial statements, performance reports, and attachments/supplementary materials are available for review. When discussion is complete, panelists individually score each application, based on published criteria.

Funding recommendations determined by the Panels are presented to the Arts Council Board of Directors for approval (typically, in February).

Mini Grants are processed in a similar manner but applications are received, reviewed and funded on a semi-annual basis.
